Wow! The Fashionably Late Tour 2009 is over!

It's a bittersweet moment. We were so happy to be back home with our families for Thanksgiving, but we really miss being out on the road! So much has happened since we last wrote, that we are going to have to break this blog up into two parts… there is just too much, but let's just say we closed out the tour with a bunch of SUPER hot shows!

In Charlotte, NC we became the FIRST band ever to play the Fillmore twice… we were there over the summer in August too. Last time we were there the show didn't end until 3AM!! This time we finished up at a reasonable hour (hahaha) and the NC crowd had sick energy all night long! From there, we drove up to NYC to takeover the Big Apple… and believe us… we did just that… hahaha. We had a packed day (visited MTV, 92.3 Now, had a press conference with Willis and a bunch of interviews… all before showtime) but when we went out on stage the crowd gave us all the energy we needed and more. It was our second sell out at Irving Plaza AND the first of six sell outs in a row on the FL tour.

After NYC we rolled to West Chester, PA for another crazy party. When we got there, the crowd was lined up around the block (btws… you guys are the best!) and we got this huge "HS" cake… check out twitter for pics. We also got to meet April Margera aka Bam Margera's Mom, who came out to the show with her nieces… it was great to meet them all and we are definitely going to try to get back to West Chester on the second leg of the Fashionably Late tour. We want to ride some quads!!! haha.

From PA, we drove through the night to Vienna, VA and played not one but TWO sold out shows at the Jammin' Java… did I mention that you guys are the best :) Both shows were super hottt… it was a full day of music! It started at about 1PM and didn't end until 9PM… it reminded me a lot of the summer when we did two shows a night with the Full Moon Crazy dates.

We then rolled north to Boston to the Paradise Rock Club… where we filmed the original 'Tastes Like Pearadise' music video! When we got there we decided that it was only right that we do another music video… 'Snackin on A Pear'… duh. hahaha. You guys knew every single word. hahaha. The show was off-the-hinges madness! One of the hottest parties of the tour. Club capacity was 675 and people were telling us that there were over 725 inside… it was packed! Boston knows how to do it!

We then headed even further north… well actually west… but north of the boarder, for two ridiculously hot shows in Montreal and Toronto! In Montreal we had our sixth consecutive sell out and it was one of the most incredible nights of tour… seriously hope everyone was okay, it was really packed in there and we heard about a couple fans passing out in the audience. Thank you for taking care of each other and watching out for one another! After being in Montreal for the entire day… we decided that we most definitely need to learn how to speak French… really hott.

Toronto was probably the busiest day of the whole tour… we started at 6AM doing morning television, went straight from the studio to a high school to do a special acoustic performance, then straight from there to Kiss 92.5 Toronto… where they played our ENTIRE album… from start to finish, after that we rolled to MuchMusic to debut the 'Over You' video live on MOD! Finally, it was showtime and the Toronto fans did not disappoint! The show was even hotter than when we were there over the summer!

Okay… so that is part one… part two coming soon!

This year's tour is over, but we are excited for 2010 as the Fashionably Late Tour continues!

Miss you guys!
Your Gentleman

Check out this blog HS posted on their myspace!

We recently participated in the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY® SoundChecks program. This program provides an opportunity
for students to attend professional sound checks of touring artists to observe
the process of preparing for a concert. Artists, technical and industry
professionals provide the students with a glimpse into the realities of these
music careers by engaging in conversation about the specifics of their jobs,
tools for success, life on the road and more. For more information on the
GRAMMY Foundation and their education programs, please visit www.grammyintheschools.com.
